We'll kick things off with a then and now look at the filming locations from the 1977 episode Moving Violation from the popular TV series CHiPs. Then, we'll join Laurel and Hardy on location for their 1932 comedy County Hospital.
Continuing our filming locations tour around the Los Angeles area is the Our Gang / The Little Rascals 1932 comedy movie Hook And Ladder. And we wrap things up with The Three Stooges filming in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles in their 1935 film Three Little Beers.

Like many "cop shows" CHiPs embraced the tradition of doing a lot of on location filming in the greater Los Angeles area. This scene from the episode Moving Violation was filmed in downtown Culver City, California.

Laurel and Hardy - County Hospital (1932)
The Plot
Mr. Hardy is spending a few weeks in the hospital recovering from a broken let (how he ended up with a broken let, we don't know but surely Mr. Laurel was the cause!).
Culver City And Los Angeles Filming Locations
The second half of this Laurel and Hardy movie was filmed in several locations in Culver City and Los Angeles, and those are the scenes we focus on in this filming locations documentary video.
We'll visit the historic City Hall building in Culver City, and go on location in South Central Los Angeles for the final scene in the movie.

The Plot
The Gang have formed their own fire department, complete with a fleet of fire engines!
Filming Location Time Capsule - The Westside Of Los Angeles
Much of this Our Gang / The Little Rascals movie was filmed on location in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles, and those are the scenes we cover in this filming locations then and now video.
The streets and alleys are in the same place, but the area has been built up quite a bit since Hook And Ladder was filmed here in 1932.

The Three Stooges - Three Little Beers (1935)
The Plot
The Three Stooges are delivering beer around Los Angeles, though most of the product ends up on the street and not in the customer's possession!
The Hills Of Echo Park In Los Angels As Filming Location
Whenever a comedy movie needs a steep hill as part of the plot, invariably the production crew heads to either the Silver Lake or Echo Park neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Three Little Beers filmed in Echo Park.
There's some great views of the residential neighborhood around Scott Avenue and Cerro Gordo Street in Three Little Beers as the Stooges chase beer barrels down the steep hills of the area!
