One of the highest levels of recognition a film location detective and then and now photo / video creator can have is being invited by a major historical society in the heart of Hollywood-land to present their work. This happened to me last month when I presented a "watch party" of some of my then and now filming location videos at the Culver City Historical Society.
It was a packed house and focused on - for obvious reasons - movies and TV show episodes filmed in Culver City (and the nearby beach community of Venice). Culver City is the REAL "Heart of Screenland" and more movies and TV episodes were created there than in nearby Hollywood!
Here's the video recording of the entire presentation that evening. Yes... it's not a 7 second Instagram hit, but those of you who do watch will (hopefully) be entertained.
