Introduction
This month, we're touring four historic LA filming locations and then traveling to Derby, England!
Here's what's coming up:
- Charlie's Angels Headquarters: A stop at the 1970s Beverly Hills building that appeared in all the episodes.
- Downtown Culver City: Visiting a famous Our Gang / The Little Rascals filming location from their 1934 movie Honky-Donkey.
- Westwood Village: A stop at one of the oldest buildings still standing in the area, unchanged since Thelma Todd and Patsy Kelly drove by it in their comedy Beauty and the Bus in 1933.
- The Palms Neighborhood, Los Angeles: One of the last looks at the beautiful Palms neighborhood in its original state, from the 1956 Abbott and Costello movie, Dance With Me, Henry.
- Music Video History - White Town’s Your Woman Video: Derby, England, is where the music video for this hit song was filmed back in 1997 and amazingly the area looks very much the same today!

The Plot
A killer is trying to assassinate each of the Angels, one by one!
The Famous Charlie's Angels Headquarters Building
Calling all classic TV fans! If you're scouting famous Beverly Hills filming locations, make sure 189 North Robertson Blvd is on your itinerary. This 1951 mid-century building at the corner of North Robertson Blvd and Clifton Way served as the unmistakable exterior for the Townsend Investigations office in every episode of Charlie's Angels.
It's a legendary piece of 1970s television history hiding right in plain sight.

The Plot
Rich kid Wally is bored with his sheltered life and wants to play with "real kids" his own age, so he instructs his driver to drive down some alleys. They encounter the Gang and their horse Algebra and that's when the fun starts!
The Los Angeles Filming Location
If you stand at the intersection of Bagley Avenue and Venice Boulevard, looking south toward downtown Culver City, California, you might think it’s just another busy street corner. But for classic movie fans and film historians, this exact spot is a living time capsule.
Remarkably, this historic Los Angeles area filming location looks almost identical to how it appeared over 90 years ago. It was famously featured in this 1934 Our Gang / The Little Rascals comedy short, Honky-Donkey. If you look closely at the architectural layout today, the stunning historic continuity connects modern Los Angeles straight back to the golden age of cinema.

The Plot
Thelma Todd has just won a new car, so she invites her friend Patsy Kelly to join her as she takes it out for a ride.

The Last Days Of An Original Los Angeles Neighborhood
The 1956 Abbott and Costello movie Dance With Me, Henry offers a fascinating then and now look at the changing face of mid-century Los Angeles.
With outdoor scenes filmed on-location rather than on a Hollywood backlot, the movie serves as a brilliant time capsule for the Palms neighborhood in Los Angeles, just before the neighborhood transformed from the single-family homes we see in the movie to the multi-unit apartment buildings found there today.

Filmed in the style of an old silent movie, the music video for Your Woman was filmed entirely on location in the center of the small city of Derby in England.
A Late 1990s Time Capsule Of Derby
Looking for iconic 90s music video spots? The famous White Town music video Your Woman filming location features a legendary piece of Derbyshire public art: The Derby Ram statue.
Located at the busy pedestrian crossroads of Albion Street and East Street, this landmark was unveiled in 1995. If you happen to be in or near The East Midlands area of England, this is a destination you should certainly visit.
